I’ve always thought packaging was an under utilized assets. Beyond just the functional ‘fit for purpose’ requirements, I believe creativity should be at the heart of good packaging design. And that means thinking outside the box, or in this case the bottle.
The Kraft Heinz Company had a serious problem with imitation. Unscrupulous restaurant vendors would re-fill their empty Heinz bottles with NOT Heinz sauce. This ingenious packaging solution, using one of the brand’s most distinctive assets in the border of the label, ensures you don’t get the unwelcome common or garden-variety, but just the desired “57 Varieties.”
