Chevron
PROBLEM:
BIG OIL. Need we say any more? But the problem is oil matters. Natural Gas matters. Energy matters. And it touches almost every person on the planet. This is a story of our time and it was time to tell the Chevron story.
SOLUTION:
Brutal honesty. We grasped the bull by the horns and recognized the hostility towards fossil fuels. That said, until we have an alternative, we still need it. So, everyday the people at Chevron try to find newer ways, smarter ways, cleaner ways to power the world. Humans have always reached for what seemed impossible. This is the power of “Human Energy” and will you join us?
RESULTS:
By facing the issue head on, in a deeply emotional way, we were able to inspire internal employees and start to educate broader audiences about the complicated energy equation and the progress Chevron was making. With an open invitation this fostered participation bringing Chevron to the front of the global energy debate making it part of the solution, not just the problem.

WILL YOU JOIN US
As a 53,000-person company that operates in 180 countries, Chevron believes we are all in this together. Will you join us in trying to solve one of the greatest issues of our time?
WE AGREE
Chevron is one of the largest companies in America but its values and role in our economy were sorely misunderstood. The “We Agree” campaign is rooted in the very language and imagery of the protests lodged against oil companies and big corporations and turning it around.
ENERGYVILLE
Chevron wanted to engage the leaders of business and government to spur discussion around energy choices, and the tradeoffs between price and pollution. A complex objective. So, partnering with The Economist Group, we created Energyville – an interactive online game backed by real data that challenges players to meet the growing energy needs of a simulated city, while managing cost and environmental impact.
