The death of long-form content has been greatly exaggerated.
Many years ago I worked with a brilliant team to create a 2 minute 30 seconds TVC. This was the first commercial to fill an entire ad break on CBS’s 60 Minutes. Since then, those that should know better have said attention spans just keep shrinking. Our phones, laptops, and other devices are conditioning us to use them at every waking moment. This usage shortens our tolerance for things that don’t involve instant gratification. Dopamine is the drug of choice.
So, I was delighted to read and then engage – for 4 hours and 8 minutes and 17 secs – with this wonderful “Powerfully Peaceful” piece of content from Nissan Motor Corporation. Sit back and enjoy the – long – drive.
